January 10th, 1941 was a dark day in Portsmouth's history as the Blitz claimed the lives of ordinary people. There were 67 German air raids on Portsmouth between July 11th, 1940 and the end of May, 1944. Three of these were major attacks, including the Blitz of 1941 which was the most notorious. 171 people were killed and 430 injured. Below is a list of all those who died in this devastating raid.
